Hats Off To Twins' MOM 1 Year Anniversary!!
WATERLOO, ONTARIO
HATS OFF TO CHEMO & WATERLOO CLASSIC
Monday June 4, 2001
We Love You MOM!!!
Today marks the sad 1 year anniversary of our mother, Wendy, passing away
after a short courageous battle with cancer.
It's hard to say good-bye to someone as beautiful as our mom. We didn't
want her to go and would do anything to have her with us once again. All of
the the thoughts of her automatically bring a smile to our faces and a
warmth to our hearts.
Her whole world revolved around us, her children, who she said "brought
immeasurable joy into her life." Ball tournaments were
a way of life growing up in the Schnarr household and often you would hear
her proudly recounting the hi-lights of the days'events. She continuously
stayed on top of things, and was always there with an encouraging word, a
clean uniform, and a warm cup of coffee!
She was a giving, caring person who always put others before herself. She
opened her home and her heart to all those around her and made everyone
feel welcome.
We can learn alot from our mom, as even when she was ill, she didn't wallow
in self pity, but rather fought it head on with all of the strength and
dignity in her being.
Every day hurts because she is not with us and her new grandchildren. She
is in a more peaceful place now and although we cannot help but feel the
pain of her loss, we do find comfort in having her as our guardian angel to
watch over and take care of us!
The "Perfect Fan" by the Backstreet boys sums up our feelings. Here is part
of the chorus:
'You showed me when I was young just how to grow
you showed me everything that I should know,
you showed me just how to walk without your hands,
'cause MOM you always were the Perfect Fan..
I Love You MOM!'
Love eternally,
The Schnarr's: Jim, Jodie, Jill, Jay and our families
Waterloo Hallman Twins (Peter Hallman Classic) Update
Despite the rain, the weekend was a success!
The Schnarr Family and the Waterloo Hallman Twins would like to thank all
fans, players, umpires and the community for their generous support of Hats
Off To Chemo. The goal of 1000 hats was exceeded Saturday afternoon. The
total is at more than 3000 hats for the weekend and continues to grow as
hats are still being donated, as long as there is a need for them!
A special thanks to Rick Bellefeuille and Unique Screen Printing and
Embroidery for their support this weekend. Larry Lynch and Craig Crawford
donated alot of their time and expertise to make this event a meaningful
success.
Tuesday night, June 5, the Innerkip "Bright Cheese House" Eagles are
