The Dundas Civitan Hats off to Chemo Challenge!

     Members of The Dundas Junior Civitan Club (aged 13-17) have challenged the members of The Dundas District Civitan Club (aged 21+) to see which group can collect the most hats over a one-month period, in support of Hats Off To Chemo. The hats are being gathered in a variety of ways and in a variety of venues, throughout the town of Dundas, Ontario. The event will culminate in a finale on Wednesday February 27^th when the hats will be counted and the punishment revealed to the losing group! At that time, Tammy Burton, a Hats Off To Chemo founder will be on hand to speak about the charity’s efforts and to accept the joint Civitan donation. The effort of these clubs doesn’t stop there however. On March 1^st there will be a Junior High Fundraising Dance held at the Dundas Legion and participants will get $1 off of the price of admission with the donation of a hat to the charity. In addition hats will be accepted at Parkside High School until Friday March 1^st.

Special Note:

The Dundas Junior Civitan Club and The Dundas District Civitan Club won the 3rd place International Outstanding Joint Junior Senior Project award for their Hats off to Chemo challenge. The award was presented at the Junior Civitan International convention in Galtinburg Tennessee this summer.
